Rooted Locally, Participating Locally

ARAU supports two Greater Vancouver golf events as part of a broader commitment to local community participation.

Being rooted in a place should mean more than putting its name in an address.

For ARAU, Greater Vancouver is where the brand is being built — where products are curated, relationships are formed, and the earliest chapters of the business are taking shape.

That is why local participation matters.

This September, ARAU supported two golf events in Greater Vancouver: the Vancouver Grace Tour 2026, a small local golf league, and the UBC Thunderbird Golf Open 2026.

At both events, ARAU contributed selected products as gifts, prizes or auction items. But the connection went beyond sponsorship.

ARAU’s founder also participated personally in both communities — playing in the Vancouver Grace Tour during the season and joining the UBC event as a golfer.

For us, that distinction matters.

Supporting Communities We Are Part Of

The Vancouver Grace Tour is local in the truest sense.

It is not a large-scale commercial event. It is a smaller golf community built around people who regularly play together, compete, meet and form relationships through the game.

ARAU’s founder participated in the league during 2026, so supporting the event developed naturally from being part of that community.

Rather than approaching sponsorship simply as brand exposure, we see greater meaning when a contribution is connected to a community in which we already participate.

Sometimes supporting local begins very simply:

showing up, taking part and contributing where we can.

For the Vancouver Grace Tour event, ARAU products were provided as part of the prizes and event support — introducing the collection in a setting that was already personally connected to the brand.

ARAU at the UBC Thunderbird Golf Open

ARAU also supported the UBC Thunderbird Golf Open 2026, contributing selected products for the event while the founder participated in the charity golf day.

The setting was different, but the reasoning was similar.

Community events bring together people who may otherwise have little reason to meet — participants, supporters, organisations, businesses and volunteers sharing one day around a common purpose.

For an emerging local brand, participating in those environments is meaningful in a way that extends beyond traditional marketing.

It allows ARAU to become part of the community gradually and naturally.

Not simply by being seen, but by contributing.

Rooted in Greater Vancouver

ARAU's positioning has always included three ideas:

Globally sourced.Curated in Canada.Rooted in Greater Vancouver.

The first two describe how we approach botanicals and products.

The third describes something broader.

Being rooted in Greater Vancouver means recognising that although our ingredients may come from different parts of the world, ARAU itself is being developed here.

This is where the brand meets its customers.

It is where local partnerships begin.

It is where products are prepared, stories are shared and relationships gradually develop.

And it is why we believe community participation should become part of the brand as it grows.

Small Contributions Still Matter

Supporting a local event does not always need to involve a large campaign.

Sometimes it may be a product contributed to an auction.

Sometimes it is a gift for a winner.

Sometimes it is simply participating in the same event alongside the people receiving it.

These are small contributions, but they reflect the kind of relationship we hope ARAU can develop with Greater Vancouver.

A brand does not become local simply by being located somewhere.

It becomes local by forming relationships with the people, organisations and communities around it.

Growing With the Community

As ARAU develops, our ambitions naturally extend beyond Greater Vancouver.

Our botanicals are globally sourced, and our collection is intended for customers across Canada.

But growth does not mean becoming disconnected from where the brand began.

We hope to continue supporting local organisations, events and communities where there is a genuine connection — sometimes through sponsorship, sometimes through collaboration, and sometimes simply through participation.

The Vancouver Grace Tour and UBC Thunderbird Golf Open represent small early examples of that philosophy.

For ARAU, being rooted locally is not intended simply as a line beneath the brand name.

It is something we hope to demonstrate over time.

Globally sourced. Curated in Canada. Rooted in Greater Vancouver — and participating in the community around us.
