A considered approach to fulfillment as ARAU grows

ARAU was established in Greater Vancouver with a simple idea: to build a considered botanical collection shaped by provenance, character, and thoughtful selection.

While the botanicals within our archive may originate from different parts of the world, ARAU is a Canadian botanical house, and Canada is the community we currently choose to serve.

At this stage of our journey, ARAU ships exclusively within Canada. This is a deliberate focus that allows us to develop our service thoughtfully, remain close to the customers and professional communities we serve, and build a fulfillment structure appropriate for a growing independent business.

Beginning Close to Home

Greater Vancouver is more than simply the location from which ARAU operates.

It is where the collection is being introduced, where we meet customers and professionals, and where many of our earliest relationships are taking shape.

For selected Business Account clients within Greater Vancouver, orders may therefore be fulfilled through direct local delivery where appropriate.

We value this form of local fulfillment. Behind an online order is still a relationship between people, and whenever practical, we want to preserve some of that connection as ARAU grows.

From British Columbia to the Rest of Canada

At the same time, ARAU is not limited to our immediate community.

Our collection is available across Canada, supported by a simple two-tier shipping structure:

Within British Columbia

Complimentary shipping on orders of $50 or more before tax, with a flat rate of $8.80 below the threshold.

Rest of Canada

Complimentary shipping on orders of $100 or more before tax, with a flat rate of $18.80 below the threshold.

The different thresholds reflect the practical difference between fulfilling orders closer to home and transporting parcels over much greater distances across the country.

Rather than hiding these differences, we prefer to keep the structure straightforward and transparent.

Global Botanicals, Curated in Canada

Being locally rooted does not mean sourcing only locally.

Quite the opposite.

The ARAU archive brings together botanicals from different origins, selected from different suppliers for specific reasons. Provenance remains part of their identity, and we believe those origins should be acknowledged rather than obscured.

An oil may begin its journey in Australia, Morocco, Haiti, India or elsewhere.

Its place within the ARAU collection, however, is considered here in Canada.

That relationship between global botanical provenance and local curation is an important part of what ARAU represents.

Growing from Our Community Outward

For now, our focus remains Canada.

We want to grow deliberately: beginning with the community around us, developing strong relationships with Canadian customers and professional partners, and improving the experience surrounding every bottle we offer. That includes something as practical as shipping.

As ARAU develops, our reach may evolve. But we believe there is value in building close to home first.
